Help! I’m interested but I’m not ready to sign up

Here’s How it Works:

Kids and teens meet once a month in a local park - usually at a picnic shelter - and casually discuss a book from the Brave Writer book selections for their age group.

Discussion questions are provided in case the conversation lags and the younger group may have teenage facilitators, when available.

In colder months, some kids bring blankets. Air-activated handwarmers are provided (and are a surprisingly fun ice-breaker!).

After about 20-60 minutes, depending on the age group, the park provides a natural place to hang-out with their new friends.

On their way out, they receive the book for next month so they can dive right in without having to hunt down a copy of the book.
